Australia Day celebrations

Marrickville Metro sponsors this years

Marrickville Council’s Australia Day Celebrations on Tuesday 26 January 2010 at Enmore Park, Enmore runs between 3pm until 9pm and will feature free live and local entertainment on the main stage, as well as international food stalls and plenty of free children’s rides and all-ages activities.
 
There will be face painting, balloon sculptor, trackless train, chair-o-plane, mini putt putt, mini animal farm, jumping castle, giant shark slide, ping pong tables, cup cake decorating, kid’s art painting workshop, magic yellow bus, roving performers and more.
 
The Day incorporates a Citizenship Ceremony, and Marrickville Council will also announce the prestigious local Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year for 2010. The fireworks display at 9pm will bring the Australia Day Celebrations to a spectacular end.
